About

The main goal of this DAILY APPRECIATIONS project has been to increase our awareness of whom and what we appreciate. We would like to thank you all for contributing more than 2608 appreciations on more than 105 pages as of Sept. 6, 2007!

Research has shown that not only the giver and the receiver of appreciations benefit from the practice, but also the viewers benefit as well. The Daily Appreciations project was viewed 22,749 times by 150 members.

We wish to thank all the participants and contributors to the success of this project. Together we have increased the awareness of every individual's power to make a positive difference in people's lives by helping to undo fear with love, friendship and daily appreciations.

We are grateful to Pierre and Pam Omidyar, Thomas Kriese, Haney Armstrong and their dedicated and talented staff for their support and assistance to help "people discover their own power to make good things happen." Thank you so much!

This Daily Appreciations project was co-created here with new friends in this Omidyar.net community. The Omidyar Team helped to make this project possible by providing the opportunity and the platform for the participants to create their appreciations and post them here. How can we thank all of you enough for helping to make this project possible?

One way is to save this project and build a second version on this good foundation. Therefore we are in the process of developing DailyAppreciation.org We are fortunate and grateful that Marissa Garcia is helping to design and maintain that space for us.

We invite people to show their appreciations and support there in the future. We want to continue to provide a gentle, cushiony, warm-hearted space, a place where people are appreciated and respected, not deprecated.

I would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Elizabeth Garcia-Gray ("Liz") for suggesting the name and for her leadership and support. I appreciate Meadowlea, Norbert, David, Phyllis, Brian, Alexandria, Debra and many others for their valuable ongoing active participation, assistance, guidance and support.

By posting your appreciations at DailyAppreciations.org, your words could be viewed by others and the impact of your words will be magnified to become a powerful spiritual force for peace, joy, friendship and prosperity in the world -- from "people to people," nation to nation.

Thank you very much for taking the time to make your kind and generous contributions of creative and inspiring DAILY APPRECIATIONS!
