A STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO COMPLETING THE PATRIOT ACT CHECK

Pursuant to Executive Order 13224, all funded organizations must pass the "Patriot Act check."

• To begin, please refer to the Updated SDN list (PDF file). If you do not have Adobe Acrobat reader, you may download for free at http://www.adobe.com/

• You must have the names of all Founders of the non-profit for which you are checking.

• Next, use the Control F command (PC Users) or Apple F command (Mac users) to search for Founder(s) name.

• If the Founder(s) name is not on the list, you've passed the Patriot Act check.

• If the founder(s) name does appear on the list, the organization cannot be considered for funding.

• Once complete, please note on your proposal:

  • Name of person who completed the Patriot Act check and
  • The date the check was completed.
