This group is a part of UC Santa Cruz's Computer Science 80J course entitled "Technology Targeted at Social Issues." The main focus of this course is to give students the opportunity to explore how technology can be used to change the world. Students are also required to form teams to complete a final project that proposes a new social enterprise. The winning team will be offered at least $5000 to spend the summer developing the idea further. More information on the course can be found at: http://www.soe.ucsc.edu/classes/ cmps080j/Spring07
Several people have apologized for intruding on our course. Please don't apologize. I host it here precisely so that others can participate.
