I have been looking at how facebook might meet needs of this community.

1. I believe it could be possible to set up a network that could be used.
2. Inside the network there is ability to form groups.
3. The groups have the ability to hold discussions.
4. Polling is available.
5. Chatting and messaging is available.
6. It is possible to post images and video.
7. Fund raising tools are available.

There is no reputation engine, there is no wiki. The lack of a wiki is critical for joint building of projects but there could be the option of getting someone to write a wiki application????

We have a group omidyar.net on facebook with at least 23 people from here that I have been able to confirm. There are in fact 36 members in the group. I know that there are other at least 9 other onet people there who are not members of the omidyar.net group
