Thomas and ON staff, this is by far the best "shutdown" notice I've ever seen. While I've always found plenty to criticize, I value very highly your good faith efforts to respect this community and the work that's gone on here. The rest is just details that will be moot in a few months anyway.

As for the actual transition, I see little point in migrating the community as a whole. It seems far more likely that groups of people working on specific areas will migrate their work. My hope for the transition is that we make sure we all stay connected to those people/areas we care about. If we can do that, it's all be a success, including the transition.
