What good things have happened or are happening as a result of a connection or catalyzing by Tony Diefell?

Deep gratitude to Tony for all he has done for so many which could never be captured completely, yet we seek to honor him with acknowledgment as we can.

Please indicate if the story relates to something within or outside of Seeing Beyond Sight or WDYDWYD, as that will help with weaving the stories together later.

My first interaction with Tony was when I signed up to attend the Chicago Onet member gathering in 05. He sent me a message asking if I would be interested in doing the WDYDWYD photo project. I was hugely flattered that he asked, and I really didn't know what it was at the time. And fresh from coaching, I thought I had a good answer. But over time, I kept coming back to ask the why do you do what you do question again and again. And I watched others struggling with it too. I became fascinated with how the question opened people up to think about their life and the world differently.

I was really excited when I heard about the Seeing Beyond Sight book. This too was something that would challenge people to think about their life and the world differently. Then the Seeing Beyond Sight Challenge came up. I found it fascinating. I was mesmerized by the stories people told of their experiences. I tried it myself. It wasn't what I expected. I tried it again. It was cold. I was alone. It felt dangerous. I tried it again. Bliss. Opening. I wanted to try it wherever I went. I still do.

More than that, I want to incorporate it into a process I want to use with clients. I see what Tony does as network art. He transforms the network through viral spreading of ideas that transform the people that come in contact with it. The artifact of the art-making is the change in people. And I am very interested in self-transformation. So now I am talking with Tony about developing a process for using Seeing Beyond Sight as a facilitation or process tool with groups to open them up to think in new ways before they begin the work that brings them together.

Tony is my kind of entrepreneur - a creative soul with many interests, skills and capabilities, a leader, a visionary, on the go and enthusiastic 110%.

Tony's NY Blind Photo Challenge in February was a big step out of comfort zone for me. It was an amazing experience and I feel that I've grown as a person since - taking chances, communicating when I'd naturally be silent, volunteering to document, stepping up, making art again, reclaiming the leader within me kinda squelched a bit these last few years by marriage and motherhood. I had only been on o/net for a couple of weeks - it was a jumping in point for me...and I jumped!

Thank you Tony for the invitation to participate and for the opportunity it provided to reclaim my inner spirit and awaken the courageous leader I once was.

Tony has been terrific in terms of inspiration and serious accomplishment envy. A walk through this guy's resume is like getting lost in a ticker-tape parade: the celebration of accomplishment there is like rain! and the practical advice and willingness to jump in and respond to and share with the the less accomplished of us is very heartening :) Thanks Tony for all you've brought to the network, from KaBoom! to WDYDWYD to Seeing Beyond Sight as well as your memorable wedding images.

Tony was how I came to onet. I had been wandering around the net and landed up on wdydwyd.com (I think from a Burning Man link) and then I found onet.

I have not interacted much with Tony other than using his question endlessly. And I probably should thank him everyday for the change his link up made in my life.
