What is the Group Home page?
The group home page shows which groups the group you're viewing is a member of, and it also shows what groups are a member of the group you're viewing.
The group home page provides easy access to the tools for the group (discussions, workspaces, polls, files) as well as a profile of the group (feedback score, description and last update).
Between the "member of" section and the "recent activity" section is the content controlled by the owners of the group. A short description of the group or any other information that the group owners want you to know will be found in this section.
What are Group Tags?
Tags are like bookmarks in that members use them to label items so it is easier to return to them later. The Group Tags on the Group Home page, called a "tag cloud," shows you tags that have been applied to items (discussion, comments, workspaces) in the group. The group's tag cloud gives you an idea what things other group members find useful or interesting.
Clicking on a tag will show a list of all the items that have been tagged with that word and lets you link directly to the item.
The Recent Activity Section
- You get a sense of what's happening in the group at any given time by looking at the items in the recent lists.
- You get a sense of what is important to members of the group by looking at the highest rated lists.
What are the brown tabs on the Group Home page?
The brown tabs lead you to sections that are only available for editing by members of the group. These sections are:

What do the links on the Group Home page bar lead to?
| invite: | if the group owner has allowed you to invite more members, you can invite others to join you in the group and have access to all the discussions, workspaces and files. |

| leave: | you may choose to leave the group at any time. Please note that when you do, you lose the access that only members of the group are allowed to have. You will only be able to re-join the group if someone else invites you. |
| settings: | available only to group owners, links to a page where you can change the name, the description, the owners and other access settings for the group. |
| about: | visible to anyone, this page shows ownership, sponsorship, membership and feedback information about the group. |
