What is the Home Page

The home page is just that: the first page you see when you visit http://www.omidyar.net/home.

The Home Page is divided into four parts:

Section Tabs (the green tabs along the top of the page)

Universal Navigation

Personal Navigation (the yellow-tabbed items along the left side)

Site Tags, Front Page News, Shortcuts, Stats, Most Active Groups

Sections Tabs

home:	No matter where you are in omidyar.net, you can click on this tab to return to the home page.
my omidyar.net:	By clicking this tab, you'll see a list of snapshot of the groups you are a member of, with the seven most recently updated groups at the top.
groups:	The section that allows you to see information on active groups hosted on omidyar.net.
people:	The section that provides information about other members of omidyar.net.
what's new:	Shows the most recent activity on omidyar.net.
popular:	A section that provides views of what content on omidyar.net is the highest rated, most watched, and most read.

Universal Navigation

your user name:	Shows who you are logged in as and links to your profile
inbox:	your omidyar.net inbox .
you are here:	Provides a "breadcrumb" trail to show where you are in omidyar.net (info is located just below the green bar).
help:	Context-specific help for the page being viewed.
sign out:	Click this link to end your session on omdiyar.net. You'll have to sign in with your username and password the next time you visit the site.

Personal Navigation

my other groups:
my watch list:	a list of the ten most recently updated items that you have chosen to "watch." To add the page you're looking at to your watch list, click the "Add" link that appears at the bottom of your list. Items that have changed since your last visit will show up bold in the list. Clicking on the More link at the bottom of this list opens a page with all of your watch list items.
footprints:	this is a list of the last 9 pages you have viewed in the omidyar.net space.
groups I own:	A list of all groups of which you are an owner.
	A list of groups you belong to but do not own.
who's online:	a list of people signed on to omidyar.net and who have been most recently active by editing a workspace or posting a comment.

Tags, Front Page News, Shortcuts, Stats, Most Active Groups

Front Page News:
Site Tags:	Tags are labels used by members to bookmark content. Bigger tags are used by more people, smaller tag used by fewer people. This gives you an idea of topics that are interesting to other members and helps you find all items related to that topic.
	showcases recently updated content highly rated by the community.
Shortcuts:	directs new users to useful pages.
Stats:	shows the size of the omidyar.net community. This list is updated at least once an hour.
Most Active Groups:
	lists and links to groups that have had any content added or edited in the past three days.
