The term member is used to describe anyone who has joined the omidyar.net community by submitting their e-mail address and creating an account.

Members are able to read anything posted in any omidyar.net group. Group owners decide whether members must join their group before adding or editing content.

Anonymous users are people who have not created an omidyar.net account, but who choose to read the content that is publicly available. Group owners decide whether or not a group's discussions and workspace pages can be seen by anonymous users.
