How it all Started
In June of 2004, Pam Omidyar posted the following news note about Sudan on omidyar.net:
"There is absolutely no reason why the world should let this happen. Enough of politics and re-election priorities and war. Our humanity is decaying and not enough people are aware of these atrocities or if they are, not crying out for the horrors of the world to stop. I am making some calls on Monday morning. I have to do something."
Many wonderful discussions followed Pam's post.
To consolidate all the terrific and useful information contributed so far, we've created this group specifically about the Crisis in Sudan. The intent is that going forward we can use this group as a central area for all things related to the crisis in Sudan.
One thing that really struck us was that the discussions tended to get very long and very complex.
Going forward, let's use the discussions area of the group to talk about recent happenings and the like while we use the group's workspace as a place to post information and collaboratively edit resources and the like.
Thanks for collaborating with us on this!
