Beginning September 7, you'll still be able to:

• view workspaces, discussions, personal news, and profiles
• search

and until December 31, 2007 you can:

• edit the “About Me” section of your profile in case you want to update your contact information
• download your personal archive and group archives

• request and receive a new password

Beginning September 7, you WON'T be able to:

• add or edit workspaces, discussions or comments
• edit any other profile information such as Personal links or location - except for the "About Me" section
• change the status of your content under Creative Commons license (edit: this is the same as the CCAL30 status on your profile.)

• give ratings
• tag items
• see who’s online
• create new groups
• send PMs

BEFORE September 7 you might want to:

• if you are the owner of a group set to be read by members only, change the setting to make sure the content will be visible

• also for group owners: update the info in your group’s homepage to reflect where your group may be active in the future
• test the Personal links on your profile – (many are broken because people have used the full url instead of only the user name on del.icio.us and flickr)
• check out and sign up for a destination on the Where We’re Going page

• reach out to people with whom you want to stay connected and establish alternate contact methods
• if you want to be contacted then put contact info in your profile - here are some ideas about how to list contact info without attracting spam

What happens after Dec. 31st, 2007

• you won't be able to edit even the "About Me" profile section and won't be able to download archives
• since members won't be able to log in after 2007, the groups still configured to be read by members only will disappear on December 31, 2007
• other content will be readable until at least until the end of March 2009
