I would like to report that the (I hope) final act of the Transition Board has been accomplished!

Mickki Langston transferred $1,082 to Lars project to bring get Dennis Kimambo to the Peace Tiles workshop in Vermont next month. AND she sent $373.90, the remainder of the Community Scholarship fund, to David Bale to continue the project to help fund volunteers from developing countries who want to volunteer in developing countries.

I would like to thank every one who contributed funds to scholarships of any kind here on Onet over the years. Those monies enabled people to meet face to face and strengthen collaboration ties around the world. Some of the monies given as "scholarships" are enabling one of our members to pursue a graduate degree that will continue to build his community at home for years to come. This community has been kind, supportive and generous and I will always be thankful for each of you.

I'd like to thank the members of the board (Linda, Anne Marie, Jean, Lars and Mark) for helping Haney and me address both the anticipated and the unforeseen issues that came up during this transition process.

I felt they really represented the views of folks in the community. Among other things, they really helped me better understand the need for a publicly-accessible archive of the community content for longer than just the end of the year. I'm glad we could come up with a solution that works for all of us.

I look forward to new and interesting ways we can continue the collaboration after Friday.
