Even though I may not speak loud or often, since October 2004 I feel I have managed to stay aware of much of the action happening here over the years. I care about the members who are hoping to continue making good things happen and it would be my pleasure to consider all options to offer a smooth transition.

• How will you seek input from the rest of the community to make decisions?

Asking for input using tools such as polls and discussions as well as using tools such as popular and groups to determine where to begin seeking further input

• Should the current community move as a whole or as multiple sub-communities?

I anticipate multiple sub-communities may better accommodate member preferences

• What platform(s) do you recommend people use?

depends on community interest and poll results.....Omidyar.net source code platform is more user friendly and accessible in developing countries but I am also currently considering the possibilities of Ning and WiserEarth

• Do you have views on how future communities should be governed?

Just a hope the resulting future communities would be centered on user generated content and online collaboration offering participation tools to all members
