About

I'm an I. S. Consultant living and working in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I'm male, 32 years old and single.

Although I'm pretty left leaning politically, my primary objective is in establishing a more democratic society; the current political system disenfranchises myself and many others because not all polictical views are advanced in the Party based system that runs in most countries.

For me, getting the chance to choose between 2 or 3 professional liars backed by greedy, self-serving corporations every four or five years does not a democracy make!

In light of this I am proposing a new, more democratic form of government called Issue Based Internet Voting (IBIV), which I've detailed through the following thread:

The following workspaces provide a more structured look at my proposal:

I hope users will check it out and help me fine-tune my proposal in order to allow me to move it forward to the next stages - implementation.

My other main concern is the environment and the current US administration view that economic growth is more important. I cannot beleive how short sighted this approach is. As it is economic growth seems to be calculated by increasing profits, not by increases in standards of living.

If we use the wrong benchmarks to judge our society, how can we complain when the 'progress' we make results in more poverty and violence because the West's economic power restricts the freedom and livelihood of the poorest on our planet? How can a economy be deemed to have grown when more of it's people have joined the ranks of the poverty sticken each year?
