About

I love to learn. Passion fuels my many interests. I'm honored to have worked with Pierre and Pam since 1998, and believe that their everyday approach is as impactful as their long-term vision. As Omidyar Network's vp of communications, I hope to foster an open and ongoing dialogue with the omidyar.net community, our partners and the media.

I live in Hood River, Oregon but commute to our offices in Redwood City nearly every week. What can I say? I love my job and everyone I work with. I choose to live in Hood River because the community is small and tight-knit, traffic is minimal, the pace is slow, and the #1 priority is quality of life. I'm an avid fan of silence, the outdoors, conscious behavior, inter-personal relationships and all things natural.

I believe reading is an accessible way to expand perspective. My favorite books/authors are:

  • Tao Te Ching/Lao Tsu
  • River Why/David James Duncan
  • The Power of Now/Eckhardt Tolle

Right now, I'm reading "Change of Heart" by Chagdud Tulku. It's a great read about approaching conflict and injustice in the world with compassion.

I believe music, children, and laughter are universal unifiers. My favorite music to see live is:

  • Yonder Mountain String Band
  • David Grisman Quintet
  • Bonnie Raitt
