My interests include protecting human rights, empowering women globally and ending violence. I believe ending violence on a global scale starts with creating a safe environment in the home and in the community.

I view violence as a continuum: it starts well before we start throwing blows or bombs. Violence is rooted in the conviction that one has the right to tell other people who they are, what they are, or how they should live.

As the director of communications at Omidyar Network, I am focused on furthering the Network's mission of enabling individual self-empowerment on a global scale.
