Mark Grimes, a friend, fellow entrepreneur and mentor introduced me to Omidyar.net. I've talked with him about it for years, but decided to jump in. The past six years, I spent building Eleven (http://www.elevenwireless.com). I founded the company with two other folks, and we are now a leader in software for broadband networks in the hotel/hospitality industry. I have stepped down from day-to-day operations, though am still heavily involved and on the Board. Most of my social entrepreneurial energy has been spent with an NPO in Portland, called Starve Ups. I am looking to broaden my NPO acitivies, which brings me here.
