I am delighted and inspired to be a member of Omidyar Network. My working career began in public health programs, mainly in Asia, where I learned about the importance for community involvement and the power of skillfully applying business concepts and disciplines to social issues. I then spent many years in the technology sector and had the pleasure of working with amazing people at Apple, Palm and other companies---places where making a difference means a lot.

I am grateful for my three fine children and my wonderful wife, and love spending time with all of them. Whenever I get a spare moment, I also love to listen to music (jazz, classical and rock), take photos, ride my bike, tinker with tube audio, and, of course, travel with Susan.

I'm looking forward to all of us on omidyar.net building a vibrant community together.
