I am the COO and President of Omidyar Network.

I am of Asian ancestry, born in Kenya when it was a British Colony, and educated in Kenya and the USA. I have lived and worked in many countries, speak several languages and view myself as transcultured.

I enjoy ‘building’ organizations and creating enabling environments in the workplace that allows every person to reach their highest potential.

I actively seek out diverse, random, and changing contexts in people, places, information and knowledge. Resulting from this are interesting connections that fuel my thinking across subject areas, groups and borders.

I love the water; I could have been a fish! I use swimming as a way to relax, and to think through complex problems.
