A child of the 60's; teethed on the anti-war (Vietnam) movement; founded a "Free High School" for disenchanted students; got printers ink all over my hands in first the underground and then the street-level alternative newspapers; shifted into community organizing then a detour to law school followed by a fascinating stint at political consulting in California; founded a book publishing company (Conari Press) which pioneered what I call values laden inspirational and self-help books (including Random Acts of Kindness); got drafted into role of Dr. Kindness and ran the RAK foundation/movement for eight years; authored a number of books on kindness, and parenting (from a father's perspective); currently trying to grow a new nonprofit (The Global Classroom Connection www.classroom-connection.org) designed to connect youth around the world into a network that can promote dialogue and understanding. My highest talent is curiosity.
