Just reading this makes me feel tired. I'm impressed!

Thanks, Haney! :)

I'm impressed too. I'll be even more impressed if I finish them all. They were actually quarterly goals so I've made some progress on many of them, but it's looking pretty crazy now in the last month.

Go David Go! Inspiring. I find that even if I don't achieve everything on my lists, I still make much more progress than if I didn't have a master list. Time to make a new! Thanks!

If any of those books are ones you'd consider giving away, check out http://bookmooch.com, which has a reputation system to help facilitate a gift-economy in books. Any suggestions where else on o/net this can be announced?

Wow, thanks Ted for that link! http://bookmooch.com. That's something I've always wanted.

Now I'm wondering if I could form a local bookmooch community so one person could do all the mailing. Kind of like interlibrary lending.

Hey, why don't they change the libraries into reading rooms connected to a book barter service? So you could buy the books you wanted and then bring them back and "sell" them to the library again, or bring back different books and get credit for those. Everyone would get like $20 credit to start with, so poor people could still use the library for free, and if you scrounge books from trash bins you can increase your credit. The credits and debits could be based on half.com's prices, which change over time.

And the coolest thing is that the libraries themselves, and used bookstores, could trade books under the same system. The idea is books could migrate to where they were most wanted without so many individual mailings.

There are three of us who all support each other and hold each other accountable for doing what we say by when we say we will do it.

We created a game to share our to do lists each day, and for each task we didn't get done we would pay $10, and for each task we did get done on time we would get $1 back. When we all three all got 100% of our tasks done the first time, we threw up a huge cheer. Then we went on to get 100% 5 days in a row.

So we decided we had mastered the daily integrity game, and we created a weekly integrity game. We each committed to 5-10 goals on Monday, and we paid $10 for each missed one. To make it more of a team effort, we all three pay for each goal anyone misses, and we all get money back for each one anyone achieves. We have adjusted the penalties and winnings several times to make it sort of come out even, and to further incentivise cooperation and playing for 3-way 100%, which is really exhilarating.

We played the weekly game till we all got 100% several times in a row, and then we expanded it to a quarterly game (12 weeks plus 1 week to plan the next quarter). We are on our second quarter of this game. We pay $100 for each quarterly goal anyone misses. It can get very expensive so we really cheer each other on, and we don't accept BS reasons why one of us can't achieve the goal. We get very creative when it looks impossible.

Last quarter, the first time I played this, I think was the most productive quarter of my life. I didn't get 100%, but I did many things (e.g. actually published a piece of music!) that I had wanted to do for decades. This quarter was also very productive. We are all three getting much better at picking challenging but achievable goals and pacing ourselves so we win.

I can't wait till we get so good at the quarterly game that we can create the Annual Integrity game! Imagine being able to set ambitious new year's resolutions and achieve them all before the end of the year!

This is so imaginative, creative and ambitious of each one of you. This is an amazing game with great potential. Maybe you ought to market it! :~)
