I'm a librarian and a painter, living in New Jersey, and I am finishing up grad school right now. I am particularly interested in developing information systems that work in "Third-World" conditions, where the infrastructure has broken down, to provide access to information for women in rural areas. I am particularly interested in contributing to the lives of people in Latin America (Indians, women, and street children) and in Africa.

Besides designing a couple of these information systems on paper and a little volunteer work in the past, I have not had the opportunity to do more to make a difference other than some e-mail political action and things like that. I have had the pleasure, briefly, of experiencing life among people who have had very little material wealth to get in the way of relationships with people.

I like to network with people and find a way to connect the people with resources to those who need them. I hope to find a way to do this more regularly by contributing to this site.
