Very fortunate person. Sold the company I founded, based upon the lessons of eBay, to America Online in May 2003.
Passionately exploring the future.
Past lives include initiating the sucessful acquisition (and very successful sale) of Florists Transworld Delivery "FTD" and learning the "lessons of network empowerment" from 23,000 professional independent retail florists who developed the FIRST electonic network---based on the TELEGRAPH (First known as Florists Telegraph Delivery). These people were the first to rely on elctronic networks (other than Napolean and the Rothchilds) to do business together cooperatively and satisfy their CUSTOMER's needs for the delivery of flowers and emotion in distant places. They also communicated through their electronic network about issues they were interested in WAY before people even knew exactly what a network was. They were also WAY ahead of their time in living in a connected community of interest. Yes..thats right...1910 ("Flowers by Wire").
Exploring how systems might be created that (1) help people understand (behaviorally) who they are, and (2) understand what we can do to help people optimize their dominant behavioral characteristics. Hypothesis is that by helping people understand who they are and helping them develop their most positive attributes, they will live happier, motivated, passionate lives in their work, family and personal environments. I think feedback and reputation systems will play a fundamental role in these endeavors.
