I work in AZ, New Zealand and CA. I fly all over the place when they need me. I business travel way too much and bounce from one critical situation to the next long after I "should have" settled down, to get married and have a trove of children. According to my folks and all of my married friends.
I have always tried to think creatively with a slight dose of dyslexia and a full dose of contrariness.(taking an opposing view, especially a view opposite to that taken by the majority)
I Like:
-Swapping opinions and philosophies with, intelligent, people.
-Keeping fit and eating healthy, but never obsessively so. -Great conversation and witty repartee.
-People with an intelligent sense of humor who can take and receive all with grace.
-A good discussion with someone who can passionately push their opinion w/o taking a counter personally.
-Searching out new and exciting restaurants.
-Any intellectual challenge.
-Constant change and growth, in my life.
-Movies, the greatest form of escapism ever devised. Anything from the 30's & 40's.
-Learning new things and cooking techniques.
I Avoid:
- Hangovers.
- People who talk too much and don't listen enough.
My Philosophies:
-Strive to be different. (easy for us contrarians)
-Normality is boring and leads only to mediocrity.
-'Sacred Cows' are at their best when served flame grilled.
-Anything considered a 'social norm' is worth challenging.
-Growing up and becoming responsible (as defined by my parents) should be avoided at all costs.
-I aim to be 23 till the day I kick da bucket.
-We each control our own destiny through the choices we make; through our own actions or inactions.
-Doing what you want is easy, deciding what you want is hard.
-Honesty, integrity and being straight up at all times with yourself and others.
-Travel tied into cultural comparison is the best form of mind expanding education.
-The best way to succeed at anything is to fail half-a-dozen times. (easy for us contrarians and dyslexics)
-Everything in moderation, the good things and the bad.
-Work hard and play hard.
-Follow and practice the Pareto Principal in work and life.
-Avoid staying in your comfort zone. (you'll learn far more being outside it)
-Perception is not always reality, i.e. everyone's reality is different.
-I measure myself by my experiences and friends not by my possessions.
-Having plans is great but know when to throw them in the bin to start over is key.
