About

Who and What AM I? I am passionate and committed to having the power to change myself, to influence others do good to themselves and others. In short, I strongly believe that you and I can be the BEST we can be. It is truly a mixture of luck, my parents' prayers, my love for learning and my inspiring teachers, I achieved my dream of reaching the highest possible level of education - Degree in Social Work (National University of Singapore) and Masters in Psychology (University of Surrey).

However at this point of my time I came to realise and accept that it is not the level of education you have that matters, it is the spirit, the joy and the passion to learn and the commitment to love and be loving. Life without love is empty and dull. Life with love is fun, full of action and challenges. Love makes life worth living.

Sharing with you about who I am and what I do in a short write-up I prepared some time ago. Enjoy reading part of the story of my life:

"Siti Hamidah Abdullah Bahashwan, MSc Psychology (University of Surrey, UK, 1995), BA Social Work and Sociology (National University of Singapore, 1981. She is trained to conduct the Triple P Positive Parenting Programme and the 6 seconds Emotional Intelligence workshop.

Currently she is serving as the Board of Visitor with MCYS (Ministry of Community, Youth and Sports) and a member of the Executive committee of PPIS (Persatuan Pemudi Islam Singapura-Young Woman Muslim Association).

Formerly a teacher, social worker, and counselor, in three community-based organisations, Siti Hamidah is currently running a private practice in family mediation and counselling; providing training and consultation service.

A wide range of people ranging from corporate clients, individuals, couples and parents in need sought her professional service. In between writing her books, mediating or counselling clients and training, Siti Hamidah travels widely to Thailand, Malaysia, Australia and Korea to conduct inter-religious youth service and Inter-religious Sports Festival, expressing her passion for inter-religious harmony and peace work".

In a nut-shell I am passionate about learning and changing for the better. I am continously having the hunger for knowledge and skills to inspire myself to keep on changing and to influence others be more positive and proactive in living the life they dream.

Lovingly
